The earliest known school in the Norge area was established in the 1870’s and since then there have been several schools in the vicinity, ranging from one room private and public schools to Toano High School,  which was closed in 1955.

Opening in 1967, Norge Elementary School serves approximately 700 students from Pre-K through 5th grade.  Norge is also the home of the NEED Center, a preschool for students with disabilities between the ages of 2 and 5.  Bright Beginnings and Head Start are also located at the NEED Center with an enrollment of about 110.

Our school is led by a Student Council Association.  Our SCA organizes and promotes special activities and spirit boosters throughout the year.

Our teachers are highly educated individuals who care and respect the children they work with.  They are kind and giving.  They are professionals who thrive to gain new knowledge and embrace today’s technologies.

Norge is a Relay for Life school with three teams composed of faculty and staff.
