LHS Sports Marketing Students Combine Learning With Generosity

In an effort to promote school spirit and also contribute to a charitable cause, Lafayette’s Sports Marketing students worked with the school’s Relay for Life team to “Kick Cancer In The Can.”  The campaign encouraged students to save their drink bottles so that they could make “spirit noise shakers.”  They decorated their bottles, put their coins into the bottle, then took their bottle to the Grafton football game to use as a noisemaker.  After the game students emptied the change in their bottles into a collection can to be donated to cancer research. The promotion collected $236 for the cause and helped to cheer the Rams on to victory.
