School Psychologists, Social Worker Present Papers At VA Psychological Association Conference

WJCC school psychologists Steve X. Gallas and Jennifer Tingley, and school social worker Stephanie Leek presented papers at the recent Virginia Psychological Association/Virginia Academy of School Psychologists Fall conference in Virginia Beach. Tingley and Leek’s  presentation, “Collegial Collaboration: An Interdisciplinary Model for Mental Health Support in the Schools,” provided a school-based model for service delivery utilizing a school psychologist, school social worker, school counselor and intern/practicum students. Gallas’ presentation, “Family Systems Applications in the School Setting,” provided an overview of family systems theory and used examples to illustrate a therapeutic delivery system and as a way to think through problems.
