LHS Sports Marketing Students Visit WISC To Learn Business Side Of Sports

Dan Smith, Parks Operations Coordinator/Park Ranger Supervisor, gave LHS Sports Marketing students a “tour” of a place that is very familiar to most of them, James City County’s Warhill Indoor Sports Complex (WISC).  Smith discussed with students career pathways and the diverse responsibilities of his job.  Students also learned about what goes on with the planning, promoting, and implementing of numerous local sporting events, including their high school games.  The tour gave students an opportunity to see a portion of what is involved with carrying out the many functions of James City County’s Recreation Department.
